Determine Your Path to Personal Planning
What are the legal documents for personal planning?
The legal documents for personal planning are:
• Representation Agreement Section 7
• Representation Agreement Section 9
• Enduring Power of Attorney
• Advance Directive
Each document is different with respect to: the areas of authority covered; the capability requirements you must meet and the procedures for signing and witnessing.
Which document(s) fit my situation? How do I get started?
There are a number of steps to personal planning. The first is to gather information and discuss it with those who may be involved. The Nidus website has lots of resources and tools for you to use.
When you are considering which legal document(s) fit your situation, you will review the life areas involved. Then you will complete the following questions and steps:
1. Do you need help today with one or more life areas?
2. Are any life areas already covered? Identify any gaps in authority.
3. Make your legal document(s) to fill in the gaps.
4. Register your completed document(s) with the Nidus Personal Planning Registry.
