Who can be an Access User?
Health + personal care types of institutions and financial + legal types of institutions may be authorized as Access Users of the Personal Planning Registry.
This will include hospitals, financial institutions and government agencies.
There is no fee to be authorized as an Access User.
What are the Role and Responsibilities of an Access User?
An Access User can search the Registry for an Account Holder’s personal planning information and documents, as permitted by the Account Holder.
If a document is uploaded and permission granted, an Access User will be able to view, save and print a copy of the document.
There is no fee to search. Each staff member of the institutions who are authorized to access the Registry must have and use their unique log-in.
How do I Apply to be an Access User?
You can apply to be an Access User by emailing registry@nidus.ca and requesting the application forms.
The first step is to have someone—who can represent the Institution—apply as the Institutional Contact. This person accepts responsibility for confirming that subsequent applicants of the institution are in good standing. If the Nidus Registrar has a concern about the actions of an individual Access User, they will contact the Institutional Contact who will investigate the problem and work with the Registrar to resolve the situation.
Once someone has been approved as the Institutional Contact, other staff members may apply to become authorized as Access Users.
Please first read the Terms and Conditions about the Role and Responsibilities of an Institutional Contact and an Access User.
